It came thundering like you’d imagine a herd of buffalo. Ten thousand hooves beating the ground like drums, like they were playing their own chase song. The wind was ferocious, the roar of a hungry lion. The seas wrestled with the shore and the sky unleashed it’s fury upon the land. Heaven decreed the earth to shake. And shake it did.
But just as quickly as the storm rolled in, it was gone. The flood waters receded. The clouds chased away by the resplendent colors of the sun kissing the sky. And peace like a river, attended the Earth’s soul. For God does not intend for us to stay in the storm. He will be our anchor and refuge in it. And His joy comes in the morning.
